JACINTA LEONG, PRODUCTION DESIGNER

JACINTA enjoys Production Designing all genres of films, to entertain and educate.

With 33 years’ experience in Film & Television Art Departments, her screen credits include Mad Max: Fury Road (Oscar winner), Alien: Covenant, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Hacksaw Ridge, Unbroken, Star Wars Ep’s II & III, and Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi.

The first feature film she designed - the time travel dystopian feature 2067 - was nominated for an AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) Award for the Production Design.

Jacinta most recently designed the feature films FALL 2, Invertigo and Headless. Her Art Direction has won 3 ADG Awards (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, Mad Max: Fury Road), and earned 6 ADG nominations.

In the 90’s, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Queensland University of Technology, with the goal to design film sets. Her final year thesis titled Set Design for Film and Television earned a High Distinction. After graduating, she contacted Production Designer Henry Bumstead, asking for work experience on his next film. Her wish granted, she worked in Texas USA as intern on The Stars Fell on Henrietta.

Jacinta is an accredited Production Designer with the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts, is an Australian Cinema Pioneer, and is accredited with the Australian Production Design Guild.
